Upgraded to Cloud ID Technology
Technology that is used for Sage ID is now Cloud Identity(Cloud ID). It provides you a Single Sign-in service for all the devices, including remote data access. However, the technology has been changed for the Sage ID but the name has not been changed. The single Sign in Cloud ID still referred to Sage ID. All cloud-connected services using legacy Sage ID should switch to the new Sage ID.
For the current Sage drive users 2020.2 and earlier, who are Sage 50 upgrading to 2021.0 the shared companies need to migrate to the new Sage ID.
User Security Improvements
In this new version, 2021.0 with Sage 50 remote access and user management is now used through user security Screen in Sage 50 instead of going to a separate screen internet screen.
Steps for Sage 50 2021.0 Downloading and Installing
If you are using third-party products that integrate with Sage 50, you are required to check with the third party product to check if they are fully compatible with this new release. If you are using some other Sage products,make sure that it is compatible with this new version.
The update will be sent automatically to you, however, if you want to it manually before it is sent to you.
- Go to Services >>> Check for Updates >>> Check Now
- While checking if you see multiple updates, select the update which you want to install
- Once it is downloaded, exit your Sage 50, and an update will be started
