For Windows 7 and Vista
๐ First users must press Ctrl + Alt + Del and choose Start Task Manager. Then, in the Processes tab, choose QBPOSShell.exe and then select End Process.
๐ Next, right-click on the Start button and select Open Windows Explorer. Then, choose Organize, followed by Folder And Search Options.
๐ Next, in the View tab, choose Show Hidden Files And Folders and then choose OK. Then, select Computer from the left window and then go to: C:\Users\{User logged on}\AppData\Local\Intuit\QBPOSShell.exe…\{last modified folder}.
๐ Now select all the files in the folder and press Del key. Then, close the window and open Point Of Sale.
Creating a New Windows Admin
For Windows 8
๐ First, users must right-click on the Start button and then select Control Panel.
๐ Next, select User Accounts and Family Safety and then select User Accounts.
๐ Then, choose Manage Another Account.
๐ Now, click on the Add A New User in PC Settings link and then select the Add A User button.
๐ Then, click on the Sign in without a Microsoft Account link and then select Local Account.
๐ Now, a user name must be provided, and the password should be left blank. Then, users must select next, followed by Finish.
๐ Now, users must restart the computer and sign with a new admin account. Then, Point Of Sale must be opened. Users might have to open it from the Start menu if the Point OF sale icon isnโt seen on the desktop.
Windows 7
๐ Press the Windows Start button and then choose Control Panel. Next, select User Accounts followed by Manage another Account and then select Create A New Account.
๐ A name must be provided for the account and then users must choose Administrator. Next, users must select Create Account.
๐ Once this is done, users must restart the account and sign in with the new admin account and then open Point Of Sale. If the Point Of Sale icon isnโt seen on the desktop, users might have to open it from the Start menu.
Windows Vista
๐ After clicking the Start button, users must choose Control Panel and then double-click on User Accounts. Next, select Create A New Account and then choose Set As Administrator.
๐ Now, select Create Account, and then after restarting the computer, signs in with the new admin account.
๐ Next, open Point Of Sale. If the Point of Sale icon isnโt seen on the desktop, it might have to be opened from the Start menu.
