Sage 50 Data Corruption

Before you try to restore your data to resolve Sage 50 Data Corruption, you must make a backup. Follow these steps that are mentioned below to make the backup of the data successfully. 

🔹 First of all, you need to open the necessary company.
🔹 After you open the company, select File.
🔹 Now you need to select Back Up.
🔹 Then select the location where you want to save the file by clicking Browse.
🔹 When you select the location, then click OK.
(This may be a specific folder you want it in, the desktop of your computer, a USB stick or server, etc.)
🔹 By default, the company’s data is backed up; to back up other files, such as reports and layouts, choose them from the list or select Select all file types to include in the backup.
🔹 When requested to check your data, click Yes, then click Close after clicking OK.
After that, you need to select OK.

The data for your business has now been successfully backed up. Now you can always restore your data to this point if you need to.

Note: 
🔹 You are advised to do daily data backups, although layout and report backups can be done less frequently to conserve capacity.
🔹 As you select the file for backup, take note of the suggested filename or change it as necessary.

Whenever you are already logged into your company, To check your data, follow these steps: 

🔹 First of all, you need to click on the file.
🔹 Once on the file, go to the maintenance.
🔹 After that, select the Data option.

Note: If any of the aforementioned notifications appear, you may also choose to run repair or check the data and view errors.

The File Maintenance Problems Report includes any problems, warnings, or comments on your data.
🔹 If there are any errors, you must halt processing if there are errors until they are fixed and disappear.
🔹 It is advised to fix the warning before moving forward.
🔹 For informational purposes only, it is advised  you occasionally check the comments.

If you want to restore your company’s data, you can do it easily. However, you need to consider that you can only restore data for the files you have a backup for. 
Follow these steps mentioned below to restore your data from the most recent backups:
 
🔹 First, log in as a manager after opening Sage Accounts.
🔹 After that, select File.
🔹 Once you select the file option, you need to select Schedule Backup.
🔹 Now check the data results and click File again.
🔹 Then locate the most recent error-free backup of the necessary firm, and record the date and time.
🔹 The following step is to locate the backup for the relevant company you want for the time and date specified in step 3 by selecting the Backup files tab.
🔹 Now you need to note the filename and path, then click the Close button.
After that, select File.
🔹 On the file, click Restore.
🔹 Then navigate to the backup mentioned in Step 3.
🔹 Finally, click Open, followed by the buttons for OK, Yes, and OK.

Note: The backup paths refer to the computer where your data is kept rather than your local computer if you save your data on different computers .

If you don’t have any backups in the backup manager? 

Please take the following actions if Backup Manager doesn’t have any backups for you:
🔹 First you need to click on the file option. 
🔹 After that, click on the restore and browse to check your last backup.
🔹 Now you should click on the “open” option. 
🔹 The following step is to click OK.
🔹 After selecting File, click Maintenance, and then select Check data.
🔹 Finally, you can use this backup if there are no errors.
