- Press Windows+E to open the File Explorer
- Select Organize
- Click on Folder and search options.
- (For Windows 8, 8.1 and 10:click on View, and then choose Filename extension)
- Now click the tab named Hide extensions for known file types.
- Click Apply
- Click OK.
Copy the .tlg file and paste it to the QBTest folder you have created on your desktop
- Now go to the location where your company is stored
- Open the QuickBooks Auto Data Recovery folder.
- Copy the .QBW.adr file
- Paste it to the QBTest folder on your desktop.
- Your QBTest folder should look like as shown below-
- In this folder, right-click on the .QBW.adr file
- Select Rename.
- Delete the. adr extension at the end
- Now open QuickBooks.
- Open the company file saved on your QBTest folder.
- With the account register, verify if all the transactions are there.
- Select File
- Go to Utilities
- Click on Verify Data.
If you are satisfied with the integrity of this copy of your company file, move the damaged file to another location and bring the copy from the QBTest folder to the original location.
What is the Procedure to Recover Recent Transactions using the .TLG.adr file and .QBW.adr file?
